Technologies has started from the very beginning of building machines to help assist the human life. Such as that machine that was sewing a piece of cloth by punching through the holes of cards. With time, technologies develop more and more into a product that can be used as efficiently as possible and be most effective. As we have seen today with the smart phone that we have, it is in the best shape to be used in the most effective and efficient way. Everyone used to have a home-phone back in the days, but now people rarely ever use home-phone anymore. Phones is one that is always innovated every year so that it fits people’s preferences and fulfill their wants. As time passes, technologies will always be innovated so that it will be in its most effective state and efficient for us human beings to use.
Dr. Philip Emeagwali designed the programme for the fastest computer made up over 60,000 microprocessors that ran more than 3.1 billion calculations per seconds. What he developed is used by all search engines that we use today like Google. It’s amazing how something someone develop is still implemented into something we currently use in today’s world. Considering how big Google is and how often people use it, it’s crazy how someone was able to develop such things. What is even more amazing is that his inspiration to building this was from watching bees working together and wanting to achieve a similar way of how bees communicate and work in a beehive.
Technology is anything and everything for us in today’s world. We live in it especially during the pandemic, everything is dependent on technology. Without technology we wouldn’t be able to operate and function how we are right now. As we have seen, whatever that can be digitalized will be eventually once they find the best way to do it. People are always trying to come up with the best technology to solve problems that we face everyday. That is why I title this post as Technology + Time because with the combination of those two, we will get a result of the best technology there is in the current time we live in. There are people right now that are working on a technology that is made to improve our everyday lives and have it be as effective and efficient as possible. Time is something that we can not gain back so we want use it as best as we can; technology is the key to helping us strive for that goal.
